To Be Young Again
Nov 6th, 2007 by Larry
Today is my youngest grandson’s birthday and he is 4 years old today. Ben has the best personality and not a care in the world. My daughter says that Ben is a new soul and her other son, Charlie, is an old soul. Ben just enjoys living and tells everyone he meets, “I’m Ben.” Oh, and he likes his name too.
Ben’s in grade K3 and could not wait to enter school. Being the youngest child, he was always around his brother’s older friends and now has his own friends. My daughter baked Ben a cake for school today, and as he skipped along in front of her, everyone he met he told them it was his birthday.
To be 4 again and not know what you don’t know. Being young and carefree is being 4 again. I can’t remember that time in my life but it must have been grand. If only we could empty ourselves and be 4 again, things would be grand.
Have a Happy Birthday Ben!
