Positive News from Iraq

Finally, some positive news from Iraq, which I am sure most of the left wing press will ignore. The Michael Yon Online Magazine dispatch titled Come Home is about a Christian church, in of all places, Baghdad, Iraq. Most of the Christians have fled the fighting and percussion of Muslim extremist i.e. Al Qaeda and are being called home by their Muslim friends in the neighborhood.
A Bishop came to St John’s Church in Baghdad today, 15 November, where a crowd of locals welcomed him home. They were joined at the service by soldiers from the 2-12 infantry battalion, many of whom had fought hard to secure these neighborhood streets. Members of the hard-fighting Iraqi Army 3rd Division were also here for this special day.
For the full story, see Michael Yon’s dispatch, Come Home or on Fox News here.

I am glad that you shared this. So much of the good news that is happening in Iraq very rarely gets any type of press and it is only until the next car bomb that blows up that people forget all of the good work that is being done.
I couldn’t agree more, Hans. Thanks for dropping by.
