Words Happen

We are the only species on our plant that can communicate through spoken and written words. Our words can cut deep; they can be inspirational, heartbreaking, joyous, and tragic. We sing and recite them. They divide us or bring us together. They tell who we are and where we are from. They say so much about us.
I’ve been thinking a lot about words lately for some reason. Maybe it’s because I’ve been writing so much on my blogs, and I have also started a journal. I know that I’ve been lax on this blog but it’s because I’ve been spending so much time on my other blog. There is only so much time you can spend writing and I wish that I had more time. I’ve often said to people, and I may even have mentioned it on this blog, that I am not a writer, but after much thought and well over 100 posts on two blogs I guess I can be consider a writer.
For some people, writing comes easy, but not for me. It takes me time to come up with a subject and then even longer to get something written. Subjects that stir the most passion are much easier to write about, and that’s probably why there are so many great quotes available. There are even websites devoted to nothing but famous quotes. I like quotes and try to use them in my post because they arouse feeling, and may make you stop and think for just a minute.
Here are 5 word quotes that may give you pause:
“Tears are words the heart can’t express.” ~ Unknown Author
“A bad word whispered will echo a hundred miles” ~ Chinese Proverbs
“Love is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning.” ~ Unknown Author
“In prayer it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi
“No words are necessary between two loving hearts” ~ Unknown Author
