Desperate Democrats
Sep 16th, 2008 by Larry
You can tell how desperate the Democrats are by their attacks on John McCain and Sarah Palin. I’m kind of sick of it my self but it is good for the Republicans. The more they get hammered the more the regular folks can see how lopsided and unfair the bias is toward the Republicans.
For me, I’m getting to the point where I can’t watch anything on TV anymore especially the news (if you can call it that). I’ve almost stopped watching late night TV altogether. I’ll never watch Letterman ever again and now Leno isn’t much better. Last night Leno told well over 10 jokes about McCain’s age and hammered Palin. I counted 1 joke on Obama but nothing as hard hitting as the Republican jokes. I’m just sick of it. There needs to be some balance and there isn’t any.
Did you see The View attacking McCain and the stuff that Chevy Chase and Matt Damon said about Palin? These actors need to go back to their holes and stay out of it. I had liked some of these people as actors at one time but I think that my money will be better spent on something else in the future if you know what I mean. You know what they say, “Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.”
Its one thing to have a disagreement with someone on the issues, it’s totally something else to be down right mean. The bias is over the top. Even if it is hard to take, I hope the Democrats keep hammering to insure a big Republican victory this November.

It’s not ok for an actor to have an opinion and be public about it, but it’s ok for you? Hmmm…. Perhaps, too, it appears biased and “hammering” because it disagrees with your view. It doesn’t to me, because I agree with it more. I don’t understand when someone says they’re going to stop watching someone, or see their movies, simply because they have different political leanings. I respect anyone who opens their mouth and bothers to at least HAVE an opinion. Even those I disagree heartily with. It’s great to have all views. Just my .02
You’ve missed my point completely. The difference between me and Liberals like you is that you see nothing wrong with the constant personal attacks and media bias. You can disagree with someone without attacking them on a personal level. People with a public voice louder than mine should keep that in mind. A good example is Madonna on stage screaming to the crowd “Sarah fucking Paling” and “get that bitch out of here”. Nice hah? Do you think the people in the crowd wanted that piece of political advice when they paid for their ticket? I could have done without it you probably would have laughed it off.
I don’t think I missed your point. At least completely ; ) And I’m not a label, either. I certainly have left leanings, but I don’t like extremes on either side, generally. I agree with you on Madonna. It’s immature, and doesn’t achieve anything. I saw it on tv, and didn’t laugh it off at all. However, when I watched something like the Concert for Change, with liberal artists such as Springsteen, I enjoy it because it’s not mean spirited, it’s just celebratory of that viewpoint. I’m turned off by the McCain campaign’s mud slinging, and I don’t think either side should have to resort to that.
